We are pleased to introduce our company, Hyundai Marine Ind. Co., Ltd, to esteemed customers as the leading manufacturer, in Korea, of marine diesel engines capable of ranging from 50 PS to 420 PS rated with continuous output. The company was founded by the strong demand of Korean marine market in 1987. At that time, Korean marine industry was still controled by overseas brand. Consequently, Korean marine market had been placed under hard situation until then, impelled marine customers to buy high-priced foreign engines and to pay high cost maintenance. Korea Ministry of Fishery had recognized to have a plan to develop a marine diesel engine industry and, followed up the plan, Hyundai Marine was strategically established by the government support.
Since the company had been founded Hyundai Marine has put lavish investment and R & D efforts in development of marine engines. The company could finally develop and supply the best engines meeting needs in the industry for variety boats. Supplying the complete propulsion in the unit of package, called the "Hyundai Marine Propulsion System", designed in diverse shapes of different boat structures, the company has become the leader in the industry in Korea. Hyundai Marine has developed various range of marine engines, gearboxes and marine equipment with reasonable price and reliable performance, and has launched more than 4000 units into Korean market so far. Hyundai Marine engine has been proved its quality and performance under the strictest running conditions in the world, of specific Korean market. Encouraged by the growth in the domestic market, by the accumulation of technology, by the customer's honor, we could have exported our technologies and products to the world market, and received high reputation from worldwide our valuable customers.
